About Me
An aspiring journalist, writer, and mental health advocate.

I'm currently a senior at Syracuse University studying magazine, news, and digital journalism and psychology. I have always had a passion for mental health - which inspires much of my work - both professionally and artistically.

Growing up on the small island of Nantucket, Massachusetts, I have immersed myself in each community I'm connected with to share the stories of individuals and provide support through a mental health lens.
I am a contributing writer and intern for the Nantucket Current, a local magazine that reaches over 100,000 people. There, I am the lead writer for a profile series called "Faces of Nantucket," where I work closely alongside a local photographer to highlight those who help make our island home.
I have also had work published in Edible Jersey, and Syracuse-based publications Jerk Magazine and University Girl. I have been a consistent site writer for Jerk and worked my way up at UGirl from writer to section editor, where I have managed sections including College Life and Sex & Relationships, which has allowed me to further delve into the editing world. I am also a lead producer for The NewsHouse, focusing on the Entertainment and Life & Style sections, where I assign stories to reporters, write and edit articles, and produce the stories for the website.
As a December 2024 graduate, I plan on attending graduate school to pursue a career in clinical psychology. I have aspirations to become a clinical psychologist and open my own practice to help underserved communities and isolated areas, and I hope to use my experience with writing and journalism to create a magazine focused on a candid conversation surrounding mental health and well-being.
